It was a night when fast met slow – as Berluti, leather accessory makers with a legacy of careful, painstakingly hand-crafted wares, hosted a dinner for one of the brand’s valued customer, Jamie Thomas, with guest-of-honour F1 racer, Felipe Massa, on 21 Sept, just prior to the beginning of the Singapore Grand Prix 2011. The evening at Italian fine-dining restaurant Garibaldi began with toasts of Dom Perignon, as the Brazilian, team Ferrari Scuderia driver mingled with Mr Thomas and his select guests. A display preview of Berluti’s latest collection in the private dining room was a highlight of the evening, before all tucked in to the award-winning fare of executive chef Roberto Galetti.
