Five marvelous new brands join the Club 21 multi-label repertoire: Emerging new talent FELICITY BROWN takes an artisan’s approach to creating voluminous eddies of silk ruffles that wave and ripple with every movement. Layer on vivid, hand-dyed colours and the creations resonate with high-voltage romanticism. THOM BROWNE women’s collection pays homage to American preppy, reworking the ideas of proportions and layering in classic suiting and tailored clothing. The apparel is made from fabrics developed exclusively for Browne: silk mogador (usually used for men’s ties), cotton linen tweed and wool mohair. The day-to-night separates by MARKUS LUPFER, a London-based jersey and knitwear label, evoke the African savanna landscape with beaded cheetah prints, silk kaftans and delicate dresses. In a separate story, marl grey cropped sweaters with silken trackpants make a smart statement for loungewear. ROKSANDA ILINCIC looks skywards for inspiration. Her clothes conjure cloudscapes in shifting blends of muted blue/grey hues, billowing organza and created with lightness of touch. The woman in her free-flowing, diaphanous eveningwear or softly-tailored trenchcoats, jackets and trousers, personify luxurious insouciance. ERDEM, the eponymous ready-to-wear London label by Erdem Moralioglu, wins over women’s hearts for fusing serious craftsmanship with sweet romanticism.
